Giving Kenyan Waste Pickers a Voice
For many years informal Kenyan waste pickers have been used by both government and industry, providing free labor to counties and helping manage packaging pollution. It is now time to change this.

Waste pickers have rights. Clean Up Kenya and Nairobi Recyclers are working with like-minded organizations to institute government-led structural and legislative interventions to address the plight of waste pickers. As a community based organization working with waste pickers across the country, you can help us develop a national database for waste pickers. When you register, we will send you periodic updates on waste pickers rights as well as any emerging issues and interventions we are undertaking to protect those rights.
